Roseburg Police jailed a man for warrants, resisting arrest, and failure to report as a sex offender on Monday night.

An RPD report said just after 10:30 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of North Umpqua Highway and Northeast Douglas Avenue. They recognized the passenger in the vehicle as 44-year-old Lucas Webberley of Dixonville . He returned with a valid warrant for his arrest and was contacted by officers. Webberley reportedly gave a false name before resisting. Dispatch confirmed two warrants and advised that Webberley was a registered sex offender and had not reported since March of 2023.
