A transient was jailed for a warrant following an incident in the Green District on Tuesday evening.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 6:30 p.m. a female caller said that while she was washing a car in her driveway in the 3000 block of Carnes Road, a man who was walking down the street stopped and began watching her. When she tried to confront him, the man reportedly slipped into the tree line across the street.
When a deputy arrived, the man got out of the tree line and attempted to walk away from him. The deputy contacted the 45-year-old and ran him through dispatch. He had a warrant for failure to appear on a DCSO case. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $1,000.
