A Winston man was jailed for driving while suspended and a probation violation on Thursday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:40 p.m. a deputy noticed the 32-year-old speeding on his motorcycle near the intersection of Old Highway 99 South and Grange Road in the Green District. The deputy attempted to stop the rider who had already pulled over at Kelly’s Corner and was allegedly attempting to ignore law enforcement. The man eventually admitted to driving. His probation officer wanted him detained. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. The man was held without bail and was released on Friday.
