ABOVE NORMAL HIGHS CONTINUE, EVEN HOTTER WEATHER TO RETURN

Above normal afternoon high temperatures continue in the Umpqua Valley with even hotter weather returning to the area early next week.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that Friday should see a high of around 90 degrees in Roseburg. An upper low-pressure system coming past the region will drop the high by about ten degrees on Saturday. Summer begins on Sunday with highs back to near 90 degrees. High pressure takes over on Monday and Tuesday to bring highs to the mid 90’s.

The mercury reached 81 degrees on Thursday at the Roseburg Regional Airport.
