Roseburg Police cited a man for driving under the influence of intoxicants-alcohol early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at approximately 1:40 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop after observing violations in the 1400 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers noticed that the 37-year-old driver had signs of impairment and the man admitted to consuming alcohol. The man agreed to perform field sobriety tests but later refused tests. He was taken into custody without incident and was transported to corrections. There he provided a breath sample which was over the legal limit. He was released after the citation was issued. His vehicle was impounded by a towing company.
