The Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9s have their K9s in the Grapevines event on Saturday, August 29th.

It will take place starting at 5:00 p.m. at Melrose Vineyards on Melqua Road, northwest of Roseburg. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $70 or $80 per person after August 21st. The price includes dinner, dessert and a commemorative wine glass. In addition to silent and live auctions, the organization will celebrate Narcotics Detection K9 Trapper’s remarkable service as he retires in August.

The Friends group is still seeking businesses who can help sponsor the event and defray the costs. Those interested in helping can call 541-646-6178.
