ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE MAN REGARDING ALLEGED PRIOR THEFT

Roseburg Police charged a man on Monday regarding an alleged prior theft incident.

An RPD report said just before 5:30 p.m. officers contacted the 31-year-old from Tenmile at corrections. The man admitted to the theft and returned the property, a gold neckless valued at nearly $2,000. The man was on parole and recently been released from prison. A detainer was issued for the new crime. The man was charged with first-degree theft and a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
