Music on the Half Shell begins its 35th season of summer concerts on Tuesday night.
Held at the Nichol’s Bandshell in Roseburg’s Stewart Park, this year will feature eight shows of varied genres, continuing through August 11th. With funding provided by local businesses, area foundations, and fans, the concerts are presented free to those attending.
The first show will feature the J2B2 – also known as the John Jorgensen Bluegrass Band. They are known for delivering a powerhouse blend of bluegrass virtuosity, rich harmonies, and a west coast folk-rock influence.
Guests can put out blankets ahead of time. Nearly a dozen food vendors will offer everything from burgers to tacos, to hot dogs, to shave ice, kettle corn and more. Attendees can also bring their own meal, along with wine or beer. Tobacco use and pets are not permitted at the event.
