Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a reported criminal trespass incident on Friday night.
An RPD report said at 6:40 pm. officers contacted 34-year-old Ashley Basgall behind railroad property in the 2500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers had prior knowledge that Basgall was wanted by her parole officer. She was taken into custody without incident. While being searched, officers allegedly found a usable amount of methamphetamine on her person.
Officers also contacted Basgall following a previous case where she had been seen on camera lighting a dumpster on fire and leaving the scene on June 16th.
She was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal mischief, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and for a parole violation. Bail was set at $18,750. Basgall was released on Saturday.
