Roseburg Fire Department crews responded to a natural cover fire near the intersection of Northwest Aviation Drive and Northeast Edenbower Boulevard on Wednesday evening.

Information from RFD said firefighters were dispatched just before 6:15 p.m. They arrived on scene to find a wind driven, fast moving, one acre fire consisting of dry grass and blackberry bushes burning towards a nearby care facility. The fire was quickly extinguished and mop up completed. The cause of the fire is initially unknown
