DEPUTIES JAIL MAN FOR LONG-TERM TRESPASSING ON STATE LAND

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man Wednesday, for a long-term trespassing situation

A DCSO report said at approximately 9:20 a.m. units responded to the 7-mile mark of Windy Creek Road in the Glendale area to assist the Oregon Department of Forestry in evicting 40-year-old Owen Weese from their property. Weese has reportedly been residing on ODF managed land for over 2 years.

Weese was taken into custody and transported to corrections. The man’s recreational vehicle and his other belongings were removed from the ODF land. Weese was held on twenty charges including multiple counts of second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $120,000.
