Crews with the Roseburg Fire Department responded to an estimated quarter of an acre fire on Monday afternoon.

An RFD update said at around 12:00 p.m. the fire was reported in an area of Northeast Ross Avenue off of Northeast Lincoln Street. Forward progress was stopped and the fire was extinguished after a short time. Crews remained on the scene for mop up. The fire led to smoky conditions in the area for a time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
