ROSEBURG HAS HOTTEST DAY OF 2026 AS HEAT ADVISORY CONTINUES

Roseburg had the hottest day of the year so far on Sunday, as a Heat Advisory continues.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 98 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous hottest day of 2026 was Saturday when the high temperature got to 92 degrees. Sunday’s high also set a new record temperature for June 14th. The previous record high was 92 degrees, set in 1961.

Under the Heat Advisory, temperatures between 90 and 104 degrees are forecast for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills. The Advisory area includes Roseburg, Sutherlin, Elkton, Camas Valley, Glendale, Canyonville, Tiller and Toketee Falls.

Hot temperatures may cause heat illness. Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Roseburg is expected to see a high in the upper 90s Monday. Temperatures will drop to the low 90s on Tuesday. Forecasters said highs will range from the mid to upper 80s from Wednesday through Sunday.
