Roseburg Police cited two people for city ordinance violations on Wednesday.
An RPD report said at 11:50 a.m. officers contacted a 57-year-old man and 36-year-old woman after they saw the pair with an open high-alcohol beer container near the intersection of Southeast Kane Street and Southeast Stephens Street. The beverage was poured out, and they were both issued citations for drinking in public.
During this interaction, officers noticed drug paraphernalia on the ground near the woman. Upon questioning, the woman reportedly handed officers a small bag of suspected methamphetamine. She was issued a citation for unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
The man was issued his second city exclusion warning, while the woman was issued her first for the same charge.
