HEAT ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTY, EASTERN FOOTHILLS

A heat advisory is in effect for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills from 11:00 a.m. Sunday through 11:00 a.m. Monday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said high temperatures of 90 to 102 degrees are expected with low temperatures of 55 to 65 degrees.

The advisory area includes Roseburg, Sutherlin, Elkton, Camas Valley, Glendale, Canyonville, Tiller and Toketee Falls.,

Forecasters said hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
