In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Douglas County Commissioners are hosting the 2nd annual Music at the Courthouse event on Wednesday, celebrating National Music in Our Schools Month.

The lineup will feature live performances from 8 local schools plus a youth ensemble featuring violins. The mini-concerts will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. They will rotate between the front lobby on the main floor of the courthouse and the landing area at the end of the skybridge on the 3rd floor of the Justice Building.

For more than 30 years, March has been officially designated as Music In Our Schools Month, encouraging people to focus on and celebrate the impact music education has on youth and local communities.
