Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man Wednesday for an alleged prior burglary.

A DCSO report said deputies had probable cause to arrest 36-year-old Andrew Lane for a burglary that had taken place last week. Wednesday night at 5:00 p.m. a Roseburg Police officer observed Lane going into a residence in the 500 block of Northeast Lincoln Street and notified DCSO.

Several units responded and after speaking with the homeowner, got consent to go into the residence. After numerous attempts to get Lane to come out, which he refused, he was located barricaded inside an upstairs bedroom. After K9 Ozzy was about to make entry, Lane decided to come out.

Lane was charged with first-degree theft, second-degree burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, and theft by receiving. He was detained without bail.
