Saving Grace pauses cat adoptions and intakes

Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center is pausing cat and kitten intakes and adoptions through August 1st after an illness was discovered within its current feline population.

Saving Grace announced on their Facebook page that its staff is treating a group of kittens that are sick and they will be disinfecting the cat housing areas to prevent spread to other cats in their care.

In order to ensure that no other cats at Saving Grace are sick and to avoid passing along the illness, the shelter is stopping adoptions and is no longer accepting intakes. If all goes to plan, Saving Grace will be able to resume adoptions and intakes on August 2nd.

Dog adoptions are still available during this time and cats living in foster homes are also available for adoption. View adoptable pets at SavingGracePetAdoptionCenter.org.

The shelter is also in need of specific items while staff handles this illness. Donations of Pedialyte, newspaper, disposable surgical gowns and booties, pillowcases and towels or thin blankets are in high demand.
