MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER JEEP VERSUS SEMI-TRUCK ACCIDENT

A man was taken to the hospital after a Jeep versus semi-truck accident on Tuesday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 2:20 p.m. the first vehicle was called in as being all over the road on Interstate Five northbound near Sutherlin. It then crashed into the commercial motor vehicle on the Sutherin freeway off ramp. Signs of DUII were observed.

The 71-year-old man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. He provided a blood sample and was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended-misdemeanor. The driver was then released.
