BALLOTS SLOWLY COMING IN FOR MAY PRIMARY ELECTION

Ballots are slowly coming in for the 2024 Douglas County May Presidential Primary Election.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 1.60 percent, or 1,430 ballots have been received as of late Wednesday. That lags 1.78 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2020 Primary.

Loomis said voters should check their ballot carefully, as their vote cannot be changed after the ballot is turned in. The Oregon Secretary of State Elections Division’s website can be used to access a variety of information for voters.  It is available at: https://oregonvotes.gov/myvote
