The Umpqua Valley is beginning several days of above normal afternoon temperatures.

Data from the National Weather Service shows highs in the low 80’s expected for Thursday. The mercury is forecast to reach near 90 degrees Friday and Saturday. On Sunday the high will drop closer to 80 degrees.

Next week, highs should generally be in the mid-70s, though it could get close to 80 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.
