The Umpqua Strong 9K/5K Run/Walk is happening Saturday and pre-registration is being accepted through Friday.

Umpqua Strong was created after the tragic events at Umpqua Community College on October 1st, 2015.

This year the run and walk are happening at Wildlife Safari in Winston starting at 8:00 a.m. Following the main event, special kid’s activities will take place in the Safari Village for those ages 4 to 11. Proceeds from Umpqua Strong will go to organizations selected by the families of the UCC 2015 victims.

The cost for participating is $20. No sign ups will be accepted on race day. Last minute entrants who come on Saturday can contribute to Umpqua Strong via a donation box that will be available on-site.
