The Oregon Health Authority reported the highest daily case count since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, on Thursday.
The recent increase is attributed to workplace counts and community spread, according to OHA.
389 new cases bring the state total to 11,188. The virus has claimed 6 more lives, with Oregon’s death toll at 230.
The new cases include:
*86 in Multnomah County
*55 in Umatilla County
*47 in Marion County
*46 in Washington County
*31 in Malheur County
*20 in Clackamas County
*18 in Lane and Yamhill counties
*15 in Lincoln County
*12 in Morrow County
*8 in Jefferson County
*7 in Jackson County
*5 each in Deschutes and Wasco counties
*4 each in Coos and Union counties
*3 each in Linn and Crook counties
*2 each in Columbia, Josephine, Lake, and Polk counties
*1 each in Benton, Clatsop, Wallowa and Hood River counties
The newly reported deaths range in age from 63 to 90. 3 were women and 3 were men. 2 lived in Clackamas County, 2 lived in Marion County with 1 each in Crook and Umatilla counties.
