Roseburg Police have identified the woman who died in a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on Saturday night as 36-year-old China Anna-Marie Fields of Winston.

Sergeant Daniel Allen said Saturday night just after 11:40 p.m. officers from RPD along with fire and emergency medical personnel responded to a report of the incident at the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Pomona Street.

Allen said shortly before the collision law enforcement had received reports of a female wearing dark clothing in the median of Diamond Lake Boulevard, wavering her arms and reportedly jumping into traffic in front of passing vehicles.

Allen said the investigation indicated that a Jeep Cheroke, operated by a 19-year-old man, was traveling westbound in the inside lane of Diamond Lake Boulevard when his vehicle struck the female, now identified as Fields.

No further updates in the case have been released by the Roseburg Police Department.
