Roseburg Police took a 12-year-old male in custody for an alleged strangulation incident on Tuesday afternoon.

An RPD report said just after 1:30 p.m. officers responded to the 2000 block of Northeast Stephens Street after a victim said her son had choked and punched her in the face. The juvenile admitted to the crimes and was taken into custody.

He was lodged at Douglas County Juvenile Detention on charges of strangulation and harassment.
