Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported assault incident on Thursday.

An RPD report said about 12:40 a.m. a man in the 300 block of West Bradford Avenue got upset with a victim because she left a window open and his dogs escaped. The report said the suspect tried to push the victim out of the house and she slapped him. The man then allegedly head-butted the victim, causing a bloody nose and possible broken cartilage. The woman also complained of substantial pain following the incident.

The suspect was charged with fourth-degree assault. He was released later in the day.
