The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman Sunday night due to an alleged menacing incident.

The DCSO report said just after 7:00 p.m. a deputy responded to the 200 block of Arrow Way in the Myrtle Creek area. The report said an investigation revealed that 39-year old Grace Grisham had menaced the victim by throwing a set of kitchen knives at him as he was trying to close a bedroom door and later chased him around with a broomstick.

The report said the knife portion of the incident was done in front of a minor child and Grisham allegedly pushed the minor out of the way by applying pressure to her face and head with the suspect’s forearm. The minor was not injured.

A second victim said the woman tried to fight him and had swung at him several times. That victim said at one point, Grisham punched him in the chest, and they wrestled on the ground for a short period of time.

Grisham was charged menacing, three counts of recklessly endangering, and for second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $27,000.
