Roseburg Police cited a man following a downtown traffic accident on Thursday morning.

An RPD report said just after 6:45 a.m. officers responded to the collision that occurred in the intersection of Southeast Oak Avenue and Southeast Pine Street. The driver admitted to running a red light while driving eastbound on Southeast Oak, causing the second vehicle, which was going southbound, to collide into him. The first vehicle sustained front end damage and had to be towed away.

The driver who caused the accident was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
