Just under 3 percent of ballots have come in in the 2026 Douglas County November General Election as of Tuesday evening.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said that is 2,582 ballots that have been received. Loomis said this is 1.68 percentage points below the participation rate at the same point in the 2022 local November General Election.

Loomis said each ballot includes helpful instructions in the upper-left corner. Those instructions explain how to:

*Properly fill in the oval next to the selected candidate or measure choice

*Make a write-in selection and fill the oval

*Correct a mistake on the voter’s ballot
