Roseburg Police jailed a man Wednesday evening for an alleged prior theft of merchandise from a store.

An RPD report said officers had received information regarding the theft of over $1,000 worth of products from the business on August 4th and had developed the 38-year-old as a suspect.

At 5:15 p.m. the man was located in the 1500 block of Northeast Vine Street. He was charged with first-degree theft and was detained without bail.
