ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE JUVENILE WITH FOURTH DEGREE ASSAULT

Roseburg Police charged a juvenile with fourth-degree assault on Wednesday evening.

An RPD report said at 11:00 p.m. officers responded to the 900 block of Southeast Main Street after a caller said there was a disturbance. They learned a 17-year-old male had allegedly punched his mother in the face several times, causing her eye to swell shut, cut her face and cause several cuts inside her mouth. He was taken into custody without issue.

The teen was taken to Juvenile Detention.
