Construction on the Southeast Stephens Street Improvement Project continues through September.

A City of Roseburg release said sidewalk and ADA improvements are being made at Southeast Rice Street, Southeast Roberts Avenue, Southeast Burke Street, Southeast Waite Avenue, Southeast Haynes Avenue, and Southeast Brockway Avenue. Road paving is also taking place on Southeast Stephens Street from the southern city limits to beyond Southeast Brockway.

Residents should expect:

*Lane restrictions and periodic closures during construction

*Nighttime paving to reduce traffic impacts

*Access to businesses and homes maintained whenever possible

*Pedestrian detours around active work zones
