Roseburg Police jailed a woman following an alleged harassment incident on Wednesday evening.

An RPD report said just after 6:15 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of West Ballf Street. The suspect claimed that the victim had rolled her arm up in a car window and had driven off with her hanging from the vehicle. She said that she was only reaching into the vehicle to get the keys out of the ignition.

The victim called in after the disturbance and said that the two had gotten into an argument after the woman had cut up his clothes and told him to leave. As he was leaving, he said the woman stood in front of his car and told him he couldn’t leave. The woman then allegedly reached into the car window, scratching the victim in the face and neck. The man said he was trying to get away from her and attempted to push her arm out of the window so he could leave. At some point the vehicle moved forward, crashing into a fence.

Based on the account of the individuals, the woman, age 26, was taken into custody. She was charged with harassment and second-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $8,250.
