ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL TWO PEOPLE FOLLOWING REPORTED ALTERCATION

Roseburg Police jailed two people following a reported altercation on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 12:55 p.m. officers responded to the area of a business in the 100 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Two men had been allegedly fighting and were contacted on the railroad tracks south of the location, after one of them had fled in that direction. 60-year-old John Wilkinson was identified as the aggressor in the altercation and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, first-degree criminal trespass, and for a parole violation. Bail was set at $8,750.

The second man, age 53, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. He was detained on $5,000 bail.
