Roseburg Police cited a woman Monday for false swearing and unlawful purchasing of a firearm.

An RPD report said on April 27th officers received a firearm transaction denial from a store in the 700 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. It showed that the 61-year-old from Grants Pass had applied to purchase a firearm. On the application, the woman reportedly stated that she had not been convicted of a felony, even though she had been convicted of one in 1993. The woman admitted to making the attempt. She was released after the citation was issued.
