Roseburg Police jailed a man on Monday for a recent theft incident.

An RPD report said at 6:00 p.m. officers contacted a 39-year-old at a business in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard, knowing the man was a suspect. The man admitted to the crime and was taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree theft and was detained on $6,250.
