MUSIC IN THE PARK RETURNING TO MYRTLE CREEK STARTING IN JULY

In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Myrtle Creek’s Music in the Park is getting ready for its 39th season.

This year the series of concerts is dedicated to Lauren Young in honor of the impact he had in the Myrtle Creek community.

Concerts are held most Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. from early July through late August. The lineup includes

*July 9th: TOB – That Other Band: featuring classic reggae, funk, pop and blues

*July 16th: Coleen & Co: with Motown, blues-rock, blue-eyed soul and rock and roll

*July 30th: The Fabulous Del Monte Brothers: featuring old school blues

*August 6th: Bump in the Road: with modern day pop, country and rock

*August 13th: The Eddy Ross Band: featuring contemporary country music

*August 20th: Broadway Phil & The Shouters: with blues music

*August 27th: Moon Mountain String Band and Instrument Petting Zoo: blending traditional bluegrass with modern newgrass

The free-to-the-public concerts are held at Millsite Park in Myrtle Creek. Ample free parking is available. Dogs are allowed if kept under control and cleaned up after. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Food vendors are both on site and close by.
