Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported theft incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 7:20 p.m. officers contacted the 43-year-old in the 1100 block of Northeast Stephens Street after calls regarding a theft by a man matching his description had come in. The suspect admitted to stealing the items and was placed into handcuffs without incident.

During the process, officers learned the man also had a warrant for his arrest. He was charged with second-degree theft and for the warrant. Another theft charge was later added from a separate case. Bail was set at $13,750.
