Roseburg Police jailed a man and a woman in separate incidents over the weekend.

An RPD report said at 10:20 a.m. Saturday officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 2500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. During the investigation, it was discovered that the victim was shoved to the ground by the 33-year-old suspect, causing an injury to her knee.

The man was charged with 4th degree felony assault. He was detained without bail.

Sunday at 3:25 p.m. officers were dispatched back to the same location after a caller said a woman was throwing glass objects around the apartment and children were heard crying.

Officers arrived and learned the 31-year-old woman had thrown numerous glass items while her children were in the same area and left the shattered glass on the floor. One of the children was left unattended and was walking around the apartment barefoot and cut their foot on the glass. The woman was charged with second-degree child neglect and reckless endangering. She was detained on $15,000 bail.
