Roseburg Police jailed a man Thursday for a reported prior theft incident.

An RPD report said at 7:00 a.m. the 64-year-old was contacted in the 400 block of Northeast Stephens Street, regarding a past theft from a motor vehicle. Some of the stolen property was recovered after the suspect admitted to committing the theft. He was detained on $1,250 bail.
