Roseburg had a record high for the date on Friday, as the Umpqua Valley experienced the three hottest days of the year so far, back to back.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that it got to 95 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport Friday. The previous record high for April 28th was 88 degrees, set in 1957. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were the three hottest days of 2023 so far, for Roseburg. The mercury hit 82 degrees at the airport on Wednesday and 83 degrees on Thursday.
Forecasters said while the period was “a taste of summer”, cooler temperatures are ahead for the foreseeable future.
