NEARLY 27 PERCENT OF BALLOTS RETURNED IN DOUGLAS COUNTY

October 27, 2026 4;00 a.m.

Nearly 27 percent of registered voters have cast their ballot in the 2026 Douglas County November General Election, as of Monday evening.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 23,923 ballots have been received. Loomis said this is just over 3 percent ahead of the participation rate at the same point in the 2020 local November General Election.

With Election Day approaching in one week, voters who have not received their ballot should contact the Elections Office. Voters can return their ballots at any of the 17 official ballot drop sites in the county. 10 of those locations officer drive-up ballot drop-off for added convenience. Loomis said voters should remember to sign the voter statement on their ballot return envelope.
