The Douglas County Global Warming Coalition presents, “Global Warming and the Oceans”, on Wednesday night, October 28th in the Ford Room of the Roseburg Public Library.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature Dr. Andreas Schmitter, Professor at Oregon State University’s College of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, presenting his latest research. Dr. Schmittner will discuss what he believes are the implications of warming oceans on sea life, ocean circulation and carbon dioxide absorption.

The event will also feature an appearance by Eva Lesher, recipient of the Global Warming Coalition’s Jim Long Memorial Climate Scholarship at OSU.
