One driver was taken to the hospital following a head-on crash, on Thursday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:20 p.m. a driver had pulled over to the right side of Old Highway 99 South to allow a vehicle to pass him in the 2000 block of the road. Once the vehicle passed, the driver tried to turn left into a business, and his vehicle was hit by a second vehicle, which was headed southbound. The driver who caused the accident admitted not seeing the second vehicle. The second driver, an elderly man, was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center due to his injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
