September 29th, 2026 10:30 a.m.  

A section of the North Umpqua Trail will be closed from the Wright Creek Trailhead to the Calf Creek Trailhead starting this Sunday, October 4th.

An Umpqua National Forest post said the closure will continue through Wednesday, October 7th for trail recovery operations.

Closed sections will include:

*Mott from the Wright Creek Trailhead to the Mott Trailhead

*Panther from the Mott Trailhead to the Panther Trailhead and

*Calf from the Panther Trailhead to the Calf Creek Trailhead

The public is asked to recreate in other areas of the forest on these dates. To find an alternative recreation activity, go to www.fs.usda.gov/r06/umpqua/recreation.
