The Roseburg High School Marching Band had their first competition for the current school year last Saturday, September 26th.

An RHS release said the 130-member ensemble traveled to Liberty High School in Hillsboro to compete in the Northwest Youth Fall Music Games.  Out of 11 participating bands, Roseburg placed third overall, coming in only 1.6 points from first place. The group also earned high marks for their music, getting first place in music effect and ensemble music.

The next performance of the RHS Marching Band will be during the halftime show at this Friday’s football game on October 2nd. Their next competition is at Pride of the Northwest Marching Competition in Grants Pass on October 10th.
