The Oregon State University Extension Service Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers offer help for the community.

The Master Gardeners Plant Clinic is open weekdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to answer questions from gardeners. It is located in the Extension office on Southeast Douglas Avenue, next to the Douglas County Courthouse. Those with questions can drop by, call 541-236-3052 or email: douglasmg@oregonstate.edu.

Master Food Preservers offer pressure gauge testing on the first and third Thursdays each month through mid-October, also at the Extension office. The Home Food Safety and Preservation Helpline is open until the end of October, on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by calling 800-354-07319.
