OSU EXTENSION MASTER FOOD PRESERVERS: CLASS ON MAKING SUMMER SAUSAGE

The Oregon State University Extension Service is offering a class on making homemade summer sausage from scratch on August 28th.

An Extension release said the Douglas County Master Food Preservers will share the techniques for preparing, curing, and cooking summer sausage at home. This make-ahead recipe is perfect for entertaining. The class is titled, “The Perfect Pair: Mozzarella and Summer Sausage” and will be offered from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Extension officers on Southeast Douglas Avenue, next to the courthouse. The class is $20. Registration is required by August 25th.
