A driver was taken to the hospital after a log truck wrecked on Highway 138W near the intersection with Tyee Road in the Oakland area on Monday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said shortly after 7:00 a.m. the log truck was traveling eastbound on the highway when it went through a sharp corner. The driver’s side tires started to lift off the ground, causing the truck to roll onto its side. The truck, trailer and logs ended up on the shoulder of the corner. The driver, a 58-year-old Riddle man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. The logging company owner facilitated log cleanup and removal of the vehicles.

Traffic was slowed in the area while the accident scene was dealt with.
