Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a trespass and theft incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said at approximately 12:45 a.m. officers contacted 50-year-old Amy Dykes near the intersection of Southeast Washington Avenue and Southeast Jackson Street because they knew she was a city exclusion violator with three prior warnings and the area observed was within the Enhanced Law Enforcement Area.

Dykes was reportedly in possession of a Sherm’s Thunderbird Market shopping cart. Dispatch confirmed that the suspect was excluded from the Enhanced Law Enforcement Area until October 14th. Sherm’s confirmed they wanted to pursue charges for the theft of the shopping cart. Dykes was placed into custody without incident and was transported to corrections.

Dykes was charged with second-degree counts of criminal trespass and theft and for a parole violation. Bail was set at $2,500.
